• Residency program

A bilateral agreement has been signed between France and Saudi Arabia for Saudi students to train in the French residency program on a 4-to-6-year pathway, depending on their specialties. An intensive one-year language course is provided at the beginning of their stay in France in order to reach the B2 level which is the minimum level required for the residency program.

The selection of the Saudi candidates is managed by a French Saudi selection committee during the month of April.

• Fellowship

The French Ministry of Health is offering to foreign practitioners from non-EU countries the opportunity to subspecialize in a hands-on fellowship in the French hospitals. They can be combined with high-level teaching programs, in the medical, dental and pharmaceutical fields. A temporary license for medicine is offered by the French Board for the duration of the training in order to be able to practice.
