Tagreed Hassan, UCL Lyon
An amazing year in Lyon turned out to be one of the most wonderful years in my entire life.
When I successfully obtained my L.L.B “Bachelor of Laws”, I did not want to stop on what I have achieved but I wanted to continue my postgraduate studies in a reputable European University.
France was the first country that came across my mind, I have always been fascinated by the French language and culture, that is why I have chosen to study in France particularly in Lyon.
France is a country of elegance with beautiful museums, especially Lyon it has always been meeting my expectations, as it is well known for its cuisine, gastronomy, production and weaving of silks. Lyon is the city I fell in love with at the first sight, I fondly remember the first day in Lyon in the mid of September I took a stroll around, exploring the city in the breezy beautiful weather. I still remember my first time witnessing the beautiful festival of lights "Fête des Lumières" in the city of lights surrounded by marvelous architectures were decorated with lights.
I joined Catholic University of Lyon in 2014-2015, where I obtained my Master of laws in European and International Trade and Investment Law. The master course was in English. The program definitely met and fulfilled my desire, no doubt the knowledge and experiences I have gained during my studies in Lyon are capable to change my entire life. The experience was a great chance for me to encounter valuable experiences from different environment as well as various and different cultures. The students and professors who attended the LLM program were from all over the world, with great diversity of cultures.
The LL.M students had got plenty of opportunities to study and practice in multinational companies, the faculty has organized a trip to an international organizations and non-governmental organization all over Europe during the LL.M program to enhance the skills of the students. Definitely, the LL.M program will open up a good chance for the students who are willing to work for multinational corporations or in non-governmental or international organizations as well as the program was designed for those who are interested in working in a national or international level.
In conclusion, I would like to state that, I am really grateful for this amazing valuable experience. This experience for sure has added more value for what I had studied and what I am doing now.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone who made this wonderful experience a remarkable achievement in my life.
